The San Fernando Valley near LA Solar Group is home to the suburb of Granada Hills. The area is home to an active sport program, numerous city recreation centers, as well as 14 private and public schools. There are many clubs and sports teams in the city. In the fall of 1927, Captain and Mrs. J. L. Miller built the first houses in the area. Soon, the city had its own small business district. At the corner of Chatsworth Street and Shoshone Street was the first service station. Later, a Spanish-style store was constructed at the corner of Chatsworth Street and White Oak.

School at Granada Hills
In 1928, the school in Granada Hills San Fernando California was founded. It is named after the first house that was built in the area. Captain and Mrs. J. L. Miller built the first house. They were the chief of Police in Los Angeles under Mayor Woodman. The house now belongs to Mr. and Mrs. Walter Smith.
It has a diverse student body. The school’s student body includes more than 60 nationalities. The school’s Governing Body oversees all policies and the $68 million annual operating budget. California Distinguished School 2019, the school has a reputation of offering a wide range of extracurricular activities. These include Advanced Placement, Visual Arts and career technology education paths. There are also 20 high school sports teams.
Granada Hills Memorial Church
In 1947, the Granada Hills Memorial Church was founded. Rev. Al McNair. Two days of special events will mark the 50th anniversary of the church, which includes an anniversary concert and the Kids of the Kingdom Choir. The Women’s Club will build a new facility, but the church will continue to be used as a community center.
Many organizations call the church home. The church hosts many community events, including a Pancake Breakfast or Christmas Party.

This Los Angeles suburb is situated at more than 1,000 feet above the sea level. There are many parks and lakes in the area, as well as numerous shopping centers and plenty of nightlife options. Granada Hills can be found just east of Porter Ranch, and north of North Hills. The southern portion of the community is where the Van Norman Reservoir can be found.
